Thomas Cathcart and Daniel Klein pursued the usual careers after majoring in philosophy at Harvard. Tom has worked with street gangs in Chicago, doctors at Blue Cross Blue Shield, and has dropped out of various divinity schools. Daniel has written several novels and nonfiction books as well as jokes for comedians like Flip Wilson and Lily Tomlin. Daniel Klein lives in Massachusetts, and Thomas Cathcart lives in New York City.

Ich bin sonst nicht jemand, der Bücher im Nu verschlingt. Dieses ist aber trotz des philosophischen Themas ziemlich leichte Kost und war nach sehr kurzer Zeit durch. Das liegt daran, dass das Thema Philosophie hier zwar nicht ausführlich aber dafür sehr interessant, amüsant und abwechslungsreich aufbereitet ist.Ich kann es sehr empfehlen, sowohl zum selber lesen, als auch zum Verschenken.
Ich habe dieses buch in Englisch gelesen, aber es existiert auch in deutscher Übersetzung. Das Buch führt durch die Geschichte der Philosophie, erklärt verschiedene Theorien und Modelle und hilf dabei mit vielen vielen Witzen. Schon wegen der Witze ist das Buch sehr lesenswert.
Absolut genial das Buch, würde ich jedem empfehlen! Sehr witzig mit Lerneffekt, habe aber gehört, dass die deutsche Version etwas an Schlagfertigkeit verliert, auf Englisch ist das Buch zumindest spitze!
